About the Teviot Centre

Leaders in Community (LiC) is a youth led organisation that operates from the Teviot Centre. Our work is focused on the development of young people’s careers and character so that they can overcome internal and external barriers to succeed in education, employment and entrepreneurship. We also develop their leadership skills so that they can positively contribute to community cohesion.

What makes us unique is that we operate from the Teviot Centre, a space that sits at the heart of the Teviot Estate. Thus, giving us the vantage point of being able to deliver, with our partners, a range of services to meet the social, economic and health needs of our community.

The Teviot Centre is a large community centre, comprising of a main hall which can be partitioned, meeting rooms, café, kitchen, offices and a garden. As well as being used by residents, community groups we also hire the space for a range of activities.

Hall available for hire on Saturdays 8am-11pm, Sunday 5pm-11pm with café area.

Step inside the main hall of our lovely Teviot Centre. The space is perfect for roundtable, boardroom meetings and workshops. The space comes equipped with an 8ft retractable projector screen and a whiteboard/ flip-chart perfect for presentations.

When you hire the main hall (Hall 1) you also get the café area too (Hall 2) and a caretaker for your event which is all included in one price.

You can even hold town hall meetings and lecture style presentations, as we have bleacher seating to accommodate a large audience.

Main Hall Events

The main hall is also an adaptable and spacious place for celebrations, gatherings and corporate events. You can hire the whole hall or half of it. As the hall can be partitioned, depending on your event needs.

So, whether, you are looking to host a birthday party, wedding reception or community get-together, the main hall at the Teviot Centre, in the heart of the Teviot Estate is the ideal venue to entertain and create memories.

The café area at the Teviot Centre is a relaxed informal space that makes a natural breakout area for your event or function. When you hire our main hall (Hall 1), you also get the use of the café space (Hall 2) as well. The capacity for hiring the hall and café is 120 people.
